Just as summer was begining here in Los Angeles I had a call from a lovely lady wanting to book a portrait shoot for her baby. We finally decided on an evening and enjoyed the golden magical light of the late afternoon/early evening – my favourite time to shoot. The location was in Hancock Park and the white picket fence and charming little gate were the perfect framing for portraits of Mallory. What a beautiful little girl! She was so good and didn’t cry once during our two hour shoot – very well behaved for a six month old baby… So for those of you wondering if two hours is too long for a portrait shoot of your baby, its actually the ideal time! It gives the parents, and baby, the time to relax with no pressure to rush from one outfit change to the next and be able to enjoy some quality time as a family – this is when the real magic happens!
