When Digital Photography Magazine contacted me asking if I would like to be featured I was absolutely thrilled! I remember buying this magazine when I lived in the UK and photography was just a hobby. Never did I imagine that I would become a “photographer” let alone be featured in their magazine. Thank you to the team for this honour!
Transitioning from a hobby photographer to a professional photographer – by this I mean that your main source of income is photography – is not easy and pricing is an important factor. When we start out we need to build out portfolio’s but very soon we need to address the issue of pricing, contracts, copyright and setting up a business model that is sustainable.
