What a pleasure it was to take portraits of this fun family for their holiday card. Not only did we have a great urban location in L.A. full of gorgeous texture and colors, we had balloons, the family dog, chalk and a mini violin, oh and some pretty flowers!
It was a hot sunny day despite it being the middle of December. Time was tight to get the final portraits ready for the family to create their holiday card. What a pleasure it was to take pics of this fun family for their holiday card. The sun was still high when we arrived so we started on one side of the street that had the perfect flattering light. Little Delilah was so good and demonstrated some cool yoga poses!
The family live locally and had selected the fabulous location with the red painted graffiti wall. These kinds of places are my favourite for shoots! I love the edgy feel of the bright red handwritten letters spelling out “LOVE” all over the white wall in a haphazard way.
We ended the shoot with a challenging jumping shot which took a few attempts but was a great success – and this was what was used for the holiday card.
