Aubrey’s lifestyle shoot: day for night

Having recently bought my latest toy – the amazing softbox by Joe McNally combined with my speedlight and pocketwizard, I was excited to be able to create some dramatic styles with this portrable lighting setup. It was late afternoon on a gorgeous summers day in Kent and the light was still good outside.  I wanted to create a night time dramatic look for Aubrey’s shoot – something a bit moodier than my normal style. By combining a low exposure with the softbox light, the results looked as though we were shooting at night with beautiful soft light on Aubrey. Thank you to Aubrey for being such a great model and giving me such smoldering, moody images!
